Opening Bakery base responsibilities – setup sanitize stations and ware wash stations, open cash drawer, inspect all showcases (cupcake, cookie, pies, whole cakes, and slices), complete inventory list for chef and cake decorators.Check for custom cake order pickups and deliveries and make sure orders are ready or being prepared on time and as needed for same day (walk-in) ordersIf weather permits open outside seating area and inspect for cleanliness and NYC outside seating standards. Make sure signage is appropriately placed and visible to guests.During the shift – take custom cake orders, (walk-ins and phone orders) keep showcases appropriately stocked, make sure orders are completed and all deliveries go out on time, and assist counter customers. End of Shift – clean showcases, prepare next day order board, close outside seating area, count cash drawer and perform daily drop, and sweep and mop bakery. Make sure all lights are off and music is down doors locked and alarm set.
