I was the girl with big dreams, big plans, big goals. I THOUGHT I had the plan all mapped out….I married my high school sweetheart, he became a chiropractor, I got my Master’s in Human Nutrition, and we started our business together in our hometown of Armstrong, Iowa. Our mission: to help as many people as we can become as healthy as they can. The plan felt perfect--I was going to be a six-figure earning mom who had it all!Reality set in after 10 years. I felt stuck. We had 3 kids, tens of thousands in student loan debt, a mortgage, and all the hassles that go along with owning your own business. I knew I needed to find a new path, a way to feel accomplished, but I didn’t know how. With my education, I knew a professional level income was possible, but I wasn’t willing to give up time with my family. I even considered doing one of those home-businesses (MLM/party plan). I decided against it after hearing horror stories of good people getting hurt. I wondered if there was anything out there that provided all the positives I was looking for without taking me away from my kids. So I started searching. Eleven years ago, I found the solution that has proven to have all the positives I was looking for: flexibility around my family, solid income, and the ability to help others. I now have the ability to use my passion for wellness to impact the health of others, while providing a corporate-level income (and lifestyle) for my family, without the corporate grind. I now have control over my schedule and am living life on my terms. I’ve been able to speak around the country, training & coaching thousands on how to be proactive versus reactive with their health.I can’t help but think how many people are facing the same situation I was. My passion has become to help people help themselves. I’ve created a culture where moms can earn a professional-level income, without giving up family time. We have become a group of self-motivated, driven, capable women making it happen.
