I work as a software engineer for the ODSP (OneDrive and SharePoint) team developing internal development tools to help drive engineer satisfaction for their engineering toolchain. My work has covered the entire spectrum of the stack, from navigating communication between machines in the datacenter, creating new APIs, and creating frontend experiences. Some of my projects include:- Modernizing build toolchains for web projects, adding telemetry and accessibility to projects- Adding new web pages using React to service websites or as extensions to Azure DevOps- Maintaining and improving Teams chatbot and web-based change tracking tooling to enable engineers to determine where their changes are in deployment- Worked in C# backend service layer APIs to help report on machine health- Driving Diversity & Inclusion initiatives within my team and across the broader org, including leading meetings and providing content to discuss and grow together as a team- Helped mentor over half a dozen (and counting) interns with various web and chat-based projects

I used C# and SQL to develop telecommunications software, with extensive use of tools like Team Foundation Sever and the Microsoft development suite, including SQL Server Management Studio. I also regularly collaborate with remote coworkers through IM/video conferencing software, used virtual machine development environments, and learned Agile development methodology.

Added Company News & Events extensible control feature for Dynamics 365 for Talent. This will allow HR professionals to easily add and edit employee-engaging content, and increase the number of monthly active users on the product. I used client-side JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and learned a proprietary server-side language X++. This project involved extensive work with the UX team and graphic designers in order to create an engaging user experience, and was a highlight of the project.

I worked in the Tank Farms division for the second summer. I designed and built two SharePoint websites, each utilized by at least 25 staff members. User manuals for the operation and update of each website were written by me. I also trained end users on the functionality and structure of each SharePoint website.

At the Office of River Protection, I worked in the Tank Farms division. Tank farms store radioactive waste generated from the production of plutonium during World War II. The tanks have degraded over time and retrieval of waste is now a priority to protect the environment. At ORP, I helped review proposals, learned about managing projects, helped write fact sheets and presentations for public viewing, and assessed pumps for waste retrieval.

Studied the pelagic ecosystem with a team of other students, each of whom conducted a research project. Participated in weekly research cruises to collect data for research, used marine sampling and analysis protocols in the field and laboratory environments. Prepared final research paper and presentation to the laboratory community.
