In 2021 I started releasing stickers online as a way to offset costs on the stickers I was making for my coworkers! This quickly grew into a full business which allowed me to express my creativity, add some humor into people's lives, and connect with great people! I also have worked on several custom designs for consultants, safety stickers, and more. In 2023, MDC became wrapped into a full scope LLC providing social media marketing, digital management, and graphic design services.

As the head of new media, I am responsible for assisting the sales and marketing teams to create and maintain a strong social media presence. This includes creating content for and managing all social platforms (yes- even TikTok!). I am also responsible for assisting with scheduling webinars, podcast guests, and other miscellaneous tasks such as helping the data team when needed, working with the newsletter and blog writing, and more.

Billings, Montana Area

Underground production Geologist 3 at Sibanye-Stillwater's Stillwater Mine in Nye, Montana. This is a grade control position, basically the "steering wheel" of the mine! Working at the active face, checking safety aspects and ground conditions, finding the ore, estimating face grade, and keeping the miners on the J-M Reef package. This position also has a background in core logging and diamond drill hole planning. I also assisted in special projects such as- backstope ore outlining, assisting in new grade control training, implementing digital face mapping, stope proposals, digital hovermapping, creating tutorials, etc. In this position I furthered my knowledge of AutoCAD and Vulcan, as well as exercised my Microsoft Office skills daily. I was able to work closely with shift bosses, miners, engineers, production geologists, as well as other grade control geologists.

Greater Seattle Area

As a field engineer for CJA, I have a myriad of tasks to perform. These include but are not limited to writing submittals, meeting with clients, doing simple engineering designs, writing up change order tickets, and monitoring quality control. This position also involves a lot of communication between myself and clients, laborers, supervisors, and many others in order to successfully and safely complete the job.

Butte, Montana

At the WMOM there is an underground tour of the historic Orphan Girl mine. This tour involves a short "surface" tour and then an underground tour. This job requires knowledge of historic mining in Butte, knowledge of mining practices (both modern and historic), and keeping the people on the tours safe while giving them a factual and fun tour. During the time that the museum is closed (from October 31st-April 1st) I have been working on office work for the museum. This job includes photographing, identifying, researching, and putting objects into the archiving program. My favorite part of this winter task is working on the Roy Garrett Rock and Mineral Collection, which has allowed me to view many different specimens of rocks and work on my identification skills.

Billings, Montana Area

Learned safety, rock identification and core logging, and making drill proposals. Underground, I learned the nature of the deposit, how to take the strike and dip of the stope, marking up faces and determining Ore or Waste by estimating the grade of the round ahead. I also spent some time field mapping, and learning how the miners actually break the rock and how they work. In this position I learned a lot of leadership and communication skills between many different departments.

Fort Peck, Montana

Helped visitors with information about the Dam, geology, area specifics, etc. Taught STEM and other learning programs to children, K-8. Also assisted other Park Rangers with jobs, such as wildlife catching, surveying, planting and rehabilitating trees, and taking out nonnative plants.
