CurrentI lead the communications efforts for three of the Disability Foundation’s six affiliated societies: The Tetra Society of North America, The Adaptive Sailing Association of BC, and the ConnecTra Society. I also lead the PR and Media Relations efforts for the foundation and all organizations.◆Achievements and Successes◆◆Multiple events planned broke records for both attendance/participation and money raised◆Increase in engagement and participation across all societies managed◆Sports Hall of Fame requested my display board for their permanent display of Rick Hansen◆Secured relationship between long-term employment funder and the Disability Foundation◆Secured nonprofit discounts from multiple service providers for the foundation and societies◆Day-to-Day Tasks◆◆Work cross-divisionally with an expansive range of stakeholders and teams to create, plan and deliver extensive events, communications plans and content strategies.◆Use Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite to create thematic and seasonal marketing and communications materials to increase engagement and brand awareness year-round.◆Manage, monitor and maximize content for numerous social media accounts and websites through Meta Business Manager, Hootsuite, WordPress, etc.◆Analyze audience patterns and identify growth opportunities.◆Guide and manage Canada Summer Jobs students, interns, and coordinators.◆Lead the foundation and all six societies' media relations, including creating templates for a media list, press release, and media pitch and providing training to colleagues. ◆Interview clients and write donor impact stories and other fundraising materials.
