Implement Lean Projects, act as a lean and Six sigma coach for green belts during certifications process, manage portfolio of Steel and NPD area, negotiation and certification of savings with finance department.- Identify and analyze potential ideas to convert them in cost reduction projects.- Coaching in DMAIC Methodology to all project leaders.- Coaching in Lean and six sigma tools- Validation of savings with finances department.- Staff communication and revision of the projects.- Development of VSM, Kanban, Line balancing, 5’S’s and SMED projects.- Leader of Kaizen events in different areas.

Responsible for apply Lean manufacturing and Green Belt tools to improve manufacturing processes in Water Heater and Space & Central Heating areas.- SMED on cell 7 reducing set up from 70 minutes to 9 minutes.- Increase OPE in milivolt actuator from 5.3 to 12.57 using Continuous Improvement tools like line balancing, one piece flow, Muda Hunting etc.- Introducing New Gas valve for the Mexican company Calorex creating a new cell, work instructions using standard work, line balancing etc.- Improve OPE in cell 1 and 5 from 6.6 to 9.3, using lean manufacturing tools.- Improve OPE in 7222 cell reducing operator movements and improving work station. - Develop all PFMEA, Control plans and Flow Charts for Machining , Space & Central Heating, and Thermostats.

Responsible for using Lean manufacturing tools to improve the KPI’s Water heater cells Leader on the following projects:- Introducing New ECO Switch on gas valves for American Water Heater performance of 100 pcs/ hr to 150 pcs/ hr.- Kaizen “Clicker Area” Increment output R110/220 Water Heating performance of 933 pcs/hr to 1,100 pcs/hr. - Introducing methodologies reducing Scrap and supplies for R110/220 working with associates to identify root cause of each item using six sigma tools. Savings $250,000/year.- Kaizen “Lay out of R110 Area” Increment Productivity and Output with map controls, balance line, new layout and set up times. - Achieving to run S1, 220 and Calorex models in one production line reducing from 120 min to 45 min set ups. - Increase throughput from 120 to 180 overall units / hours.- Reduction on 8 position ($90,000 savings by year).- Green Belt project Reduction of PPM’s due to external leaks on sealing sleeve from 62,453 PPM’s to 530 PPM’s. - Leader modifying six (6) Op.347 (Set regulation test) to avoid operator dependency executing setting regulation test by implementing PLC and touch screen.- Leader on Ergonomic projects.- Increase productivity from 62% to 90% introducing maintenance routines.
