Proficiently interpret utility maps, and locate and troubleshoot difficult utilities accuratelyReview dig alert ticket scope to ensure ticket instructions and notes, as well as corporate and client documentation requirements are met. Investigate and determine the root cause of damage to underground utilities in assigned geographic area. Gather and verify facts pertaining to the damage of a facility and assess the company's liability. Assess root cause of why a utility damage occurred and what can be done to prevent re-occurrence.Represent the company during client damage investigations. Assist as witness for Small Claims and litigated cases when necessary.Inspect work site; verify location, of excavation; identify utility sources, access points, and refer to utility plans, prints, and facility records. Provide documentation including sketches, photos, and accurate measurements. Complete damage reports, gather data, photograph, and upload into database. Complete High Profile and other notifications, as necessary.Discusses utility damage details with UtiliQuest staff; provide feedback, mentoring, and training to Damage Prevention Specialists as needed.
