Searched for low-energy antihelium in cosmic rays with the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS-02) detector. Antihelium provides a unique approach in studying the asymmetry of antimatter in the Universe or to indirectly detect potential Dark Matter because of the largely suppressed background at low energies. Implemented a Boosted Decision Tree algorithm with a toolkit for multivariate analysis. The BDT was trained to select good tracks from any potential antihelium candidates. Analyzed data collected by AMS-02 since its installation on the International Space Station in May 2011.Studied the interaction between cosmic rays and the Earth's magnetic field. Understanding if a low-energy particle can pass through the magnetic field is important in determining if it is of cosmic origin.

Worked with Dr. Richard Seto on analyzing data from a gold on gold collision with the STAR experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Colider. Studied the temperature and flow from the particles produced transverse momenta in the collision to determine if a Quark Gluon Plasma state was formed.

Identified particles that had decayed after a gold on gold collision by tracking their decay particles with the STAR experiment.

Worked with Dr. Richard Seto on analyzing the data of a gold on gold relativistic heavy ion collision with the PHENIX experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC).
