Responsibilities and tasks: Responsible for financial analysis, assessment and monitoring of the Pakistan program and project proposals and contracts, the evaluation and capacity building of the partner organizations, and the preparation and review of plans, budgets, performance reports, and resources management audits (RMA’s); Depleted a total budget of around 2,4 million Euros raised out of different fund sources of which most funds had to be implemented in 1 year (SHO funds); Recruited I&K country representative in Pakistan and set up two office arrangements. Decisively involved in the appointing of the monitoring officer in the Pakistan country office; Conducted regularly field visits to project areas in Pakistan; Organized a Round Table Meeting in December 2010 for our I&K partners involved in the flood relief work to streamline the relief work and regular development work, share amongst each other the good and bad experiences and plan out the way forward; Contributed to establishing an integrated disaster and development program in Pakistan for further fund raising; Organized a safety and security training in Islamabad for local Ngo’s in Pakistan.

Responsibilities and tasks: Represent I&K within all relevant development networks of national and international Ngo’s, and within government platforms in Nepal. Develop and maintain both internal and external relationships to ensure program growth and optimum program success; Coordinate and manage overall country/program budgets within approved spending levels and ensure compliance with all I&K rules and regulations; Coordinate overall country budget; manage budget within approved spending levels and establish an annual cash flow plan to ensure a steady and adequate supply of funds for program activities; oversee budget management of sub-grantees/sub-contractors; Ensure adherence to operational imperatives as per internal/ external audit requirements; Develop and implement the HR manual in Nepal, appointing new staff members; Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to I&K regional office/ regional manager and global office; Manage security and safety of the country team and I&K assets according to best practices, I&K operating standards and field realities; ensure an up-to-date I&K country security plan is in place and fully understood by all team members including evacuation plans; liaise with the Global Security Advisor, and Regional Manager on crucial events, high risk periods, incident reporting or security policy changes; Organize workshops and capacity building trajectories on financial management and safety and security training in order to enhance the capacity and security of the implementing partners of I&K.
