On the technology side this involved hardware repair, software installation, configuration, and virus removal. On the human side this involved building relationships with teachers, administrators, and students, learning their needs and desires, providing training, and working together to achieve common goals.Through my time there I have set up modern computer networks in four high schools to allow file sharing, network printing, and internet access. I have installed extensive educational materials, including Khan Academy videos, offline Wikipedia, and assorted educational software. I have provided training for teachers and administrators, and have taught high school level computer classes for both novice and advanced users. I wrote a customizable computer game for reviewing math lessons.I wrote and illustrated the world's first Zulu/English comic book to encourage youth reading.I manage ongoing relationships with a hand-selected group of disadvantaged university students, providing them with laptop computers, financial assistance, encouragement, and guidance.Starting in 2013 I started volunteering extensively with the RACHEL project which created low-cost WiFi libraries for remote areas. This work led to my next full-time position with World Possible, the creators of RACHEL. Show less
