Jason Fritts received the MS and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from Princeton University in 2000, and the BS degree in electrical engineering from Washington University in 1994. From 2000 to 2005, he was an assistant professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Washington University. In 2005, he joined Saint Louis University and is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. His work spans a range of topics including multimedia systems, image segmentation, content-based image retrieval, and computer architecture. He is the director of the MediaBench organization, whose goal is continued development and refinement of benchmark suites for multimedia systems research.
