I am a privacy and information management professional with experience in provincial, federal, and international private and public sector access to information and privacy laws. I have extensive research, policy analysis, and program management experience in these areas.I recently completed my Master of Public Administration (University of Victoria) with a focus on governance, policy, and public management. My research focus has been on access to information, surveillance, and government transparency laws in BC with emphasis on the changing landscape of data privacy and privacy regulations. I also hold a MA in Global Development Studies (Queen’s University). My research focus has been on social justice issues, especially in Southeast and East Asia. My research examined the intersection of climate change adaptation and the political economy of development. Select examples of my previous research include unfree labour in transnational supply chains, the socioeconomic and environmental implications of large-scale damming projects, and the marketization of electronic waste and disposable consumerism.
