As you can see from the string of words under my name above, I’m a tech writer. I do all the standard tech writing stuff. I use tech tools like Flare, Pendo, Oxygen, etc. I know tech stuff like XML, DITA, Agile, etc. And I know lots of tech words. But that’s not all.I’m also an unsuccessful author and illustrator. My first published work, The Worst Coloring Book (www.worstcoloringbook.com), has yet to receive any awards. But I’m still holding out hope that it might sneak onto the 2021 Man Booker longlist. Once I win that award, my prospects as a humor writer should really improve.Don’t get me wrong. I’m a very good tech writer. Maybe the best. Probably not, but maybe. What I’m trying to say here is while I’m good at being a tech writer, and while I enjoy being a tech writer, I’d be happy to do some other kinds of writing, too.Perhaps you need someone to spice up the ingredients list on the back of the vegan mayonnaise jars you’re selling out of your garage? I could help with that!Perhaps the revolutionary neti pot you’ve developed needs some detailed assembly instructions? I can write those! I can even add some inappropriate diagrams to make things more confusing!Or, getting back to the tech writer thing a bit, perhaps the dry release notes you publish for your killer app need a little help? I could add some jokes so your users don’t die of boredom!The point is, I’m a writer. I like writing funny stuff. I like writing tech stuff. I’d really like to write funny tech stuff.
