After delivering a hugely successful SAP with advanced manufacturing project, I was offered a senior management role looking after the IT Department, whilst maintaining the full control and management of the SAP Business One system and the several associated systems (Processforce, WMS, PDC shop floor capture, CT Labels, Boyum B1UP, QC addon).Whilst in this role I have successfully delivered SAP and Processforce for a new subsidiary and am currently working on a third company based in France.Reporting directly to the Managing Director, since implementation we have delivered further enhancements including highly advanced data analytics (uisng Qlik), hundreds of further reports and customisations, and new enhancements and processes.Also responsible for managing the external helpdesk, internal IT staff and contractors, and delivery of the 1,3 and 5 year IT Strategy plans. Since the start of the role, we have successfulyl delivered a complete overhaul of the network and IT infrastructure and have moved into the cloud for 80-90% of systems, including moving to AWS for SAP.

Working on my first contract as an independant consultant, I came into a large manufacturing and distribution project which had been steadily failing for over 2 years, working directly for the end customer, a Contact Lens producer, I managed to turn it around within 6 months. Total overhaul of the design and implementation, with over 50 SAP users in 3 countries, we went live with advanced manufacturing (using Processforce), full batch control and traceability, a fully functional barcode labelling system and Warehouse Management System (Comptec WMS), production shop floor capture (Computec PDC), full suite of advanced dashboards for different departments and the board, alerts, approvals, budget control, full array of new document layouts, 2 bespoke add-ons, MTD, SAP data validations and a plethora of B1UP customisations and validations all produced by myself. As the lone consultant, I worked with the VAR where necessary, Project Managed the whole project myself, and helped create and run the UAT process inlcuding writing and assisting with all UAT scripts, training and testing. Working with all aspects of the business, reporting directly to the board, I I needed to bring senior users and management back to trusting the solution and implementation process, and successfully delivered a great system which I was very proud of and which has proved very successful in the years following giving the business a great platform for growth, better decision making and bringing in many process efficiencies.
