Whilst at AUT studying for my Bachelor of Communications majoring in Screen Production, I did some freelance work creating videos for music artists.https://www.2we.co.nz/I enjoyed it so much, and they were successfully, that I then went out on my own, using my organisational, leadership and camera skills to create and edit videos for YouTube. Unfortunately, it is not an industry where many artists were signed to labels, and they did not have the budget for the videos they would like. I got all my work through social media and by approaching artists at local music performances direct.Eyes and Ears reached out to me regarding a role with them after working with on a TV Production they were producing for TVNZ ‘Give Me Babies’ – because they liked how well I communicated and my problem-solving skills. I in turn loved how they worked as a company and how they treated people, this was a place I knew I could learn, so was an easy move to go and work with them.
