An $80 million de novo bank founded in June 2005. (Sold to P/R Bancorp, Carmel, Indiana in January, 2009.) Renamed Merchants Bank of Indiana.Direct all accounting and finance activities; Served as Board Secretary/Treasurer; and Executive for the Audit Committee.Chairperson for Asset/Liability Committee. Improved the committee's understanding of institution's sensitivity to interest rates. Maintained near neutral position during period of rapidly changing rates. Instituted Pricing sub-committee and relationship profitability modeling to ensure pricing discipline.Administered Information Technology and Deposit Operation functions. Oversaw numerous projects such as roll out of new web site; Outsourcing IT function and selection and installation of new bill pay provider.Advised management and board in year-long process to raise capital for the bank which led to eventual sale to P/R Bancorp. Analyzed and presented numerous alternatives; assisted with preparation of information memorandum; actively involved in due diligence and conversion. Served as transfer agent on behalf of P/R Bancorp.

Dramatically reduced errors.Redesigned executive reports focusing on understanding and use of information including key dependencies and drivers of change from prior analyses. Reduced the set of materials and suspended some modeling to ensure a few were done well and clearly communicated.

Particular focus given to Net Interest Income and Net Interest Margin percent, which represented over 70% of revenue, or approximately $80 million per month. Identified risks and opportunities to future performance based on these reports.Assisted CFO in preparation for quarterly analyst calls. Developed financial models and suggested slide show and script content.Coordinated annual budgets, monthly forecasts and monthly performance reporting. Participated in the development of follow-up actions and contingency plans.
