Throughout my professional life, one thread has remained constant, the opportunity to instruct/educate/train various groups of people. Some of them were apparent, school teacher, Sales Trainer for BRY Enterprises, and training for High Tower Software, Microsoft, Dassault Systemes, iBASEt, and Proofpoint. Others were more subtle, and sometimes even unexpected, such as delivering master classes while with Opera Iowa, giving formal instruction to soldiers at Ft. Lee, VA, and then subsequently training soldiers in my National Guard unit, transitioning from Professional Services to Trainer for Retalix, and my time with Black Tie Limousine.While my educational background was music performance, not education, my performance experience has prepared me for any possible presentation scenario. I've performed in front of crowds as large as 14,000, and as small as 5 subject matter experts. I've trained groups from 5-50 people, and conducted one-on-one coaching. I can deliver training in person or online, and have even taken existing live training and transformed it into remote self-paced training.I'm skilled in adult education techniques, and use them frequently in crafting e-learning and short-form videos. My performance background has also lent itself well to doing my own voiceover and audio production for educational/promotional videos. Over the past decade I've produced over 100 videos, containing over eight hours of content, for internal use, partner, clients, and public facing as well. I've found that Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Sound Forge are all I need to create professional, informative e-learning and videos.
