I work with Information Technology and business users to help them provide up-to-date data in an intuitive, maintainable, and easy to understand format that their internal and external clients can apply to important business decisions. The end result of my work helps line of business analysts, risk managers, and portfolio managers more effectively analyze and apply data. I also look at business processes and decision points to identify labor intensive or expensive data analysis processes that can be made more accurate and efficient. I work with Data Warehouses, ETL workflows, Tableau, Alteryx, and analytic architecture, combining disciplines to help businesses reach their overall strategic goals.

Established a business intelligence competency center and an agile analytic development lifecycle for a healthcare billing system that enhanced patient experience and improved profitability for healthcare providers. As part of a team reengineering and reestablishing the reporting and analytic ecosystem at HPS, I built tableau dashboards, dimensionally modeled a data warehouse, and automated data warehouse loading, developed Alteryx analytical applications, analytical workflows, and macros, deployed and administered Tableau and Alteryx servers, and worked with business users to solicit and define requirements.

Worked with insurance companies that used our software to solicit their reporting and analytical requirements. With those requirements, I developed and automated analytical queries to pull strategic datasets that facilitated national peer-analysis studies and communicated all findings to clients. I developed and trained a (naive Bayesian) predictive model used in production software to prefill data and stream-line the adjudication process insurance agents in the field. I also supplied executives with strategic data to facilitate decision making.

I was in charge of lab procedures, data acquisition, and data analysis to understand the neurochemistry of the brain necessary for learning and memory. As part of my work, I wrote—and had published— peer reviewed academic journal articles and presented findings at multiple Society for Neuroscience national conferences.
