I am a member of the IM&T team at the Trust supporting and enabling technology-based transformational change and leading IM&T enabled projects as part of the Trusts IM&T Strategy and delivery programme.I am responsible for all aspects of the project life-cycle, including procurement (such as developing output based specifications), in addition to performance managing project delivery within agreed timescales and resources. I ensure that project organisational arrangements are put in place reflecting appropriate project methodology requirements, and manage project teams drawn from all areas and levels of the Trust. The role involves the management of multiple and complex projects. Some of the projects I am currently working on involve: • Digital Dictation• Directory Manager• Installation of Telemetry Equipment on one of the Wards• Patient Experience

My rolse as the Roster Systems Administrator involves working on the project team for the implementation of E-Rostering system (Electronic Rota system) in the trust. My role involves the following.•Implementing the system onto the wards•Helping to manage the change with the introduction of the new system•Training staff on the new system •Administrator for the system•Use the system to enable wards to reduce costs of staffing by more effective staff allocation and utilisation•Project Management – keeping the implementation on track with the project plan and meeting deadlines. Providing project updates to senior management through governance structure•Responsible for keeping the roster management policy up to date

My role at the Hospital was supervising the Recruitment team. I supervise both general and medical recruitment. My main responsibilities include:-Supervising 4 members of staff-Overseeing/Providing an efficient recruitment process-Quality control of personnel files-Providing recruitment reports to Senior HR managers-Leading on overseas recruitment programmes-Provide HR advice to staff-My role involves being part of numerours projects such as redesigning the HR Intranet, RA/HR integration project plus numerours other tasks-Monitoring work permit status of staff-Maintaining the HR intranet-Reviewing policies. I was involved in a piece of work that looked at updating HR policies. I was involved in the co ordinating of getting people to review policies and make necessary updates. I was also responsible for publishing the policies on the trusts intranet page. As part of the piece of work I was responsible for reviewing/updating and re writing a number of policies. The policies I reviewed and updated were the trusts recruitment and selection policy, the trusts CRB policy, the trust policy regarding professional registrations and the trusts reference policy. -Developing the recruitment process

I carried out this role as part of my placement at university for my 3rd year. When having to return to university in September 2009 I carried on working in the department on a part time basis. During my time in the Employee Resourcing department I was very much part of the recruitment process and was involved at all stages of the process;-Advert-Call for Interviews-Offer Letters-Pre Employment Checks-Confirmation letters-Payroll Documentation-ESR input of new staffAll stages of the recruitment process required knowledge of NHS Employment standards. Attention to detail was also important as many stages of the process required sending letters out to potential candidates.After completing my placement year,I carried on working in the department on a part time basis,in January 2010 my fixed term contract came to and end.
