Accomplishments so far include:‌• Developed protected bike lane and sidewalk projects from community proposals to 30% design.‌• Helped manage the launch and ongoing operations of Seattle's Stay Healthy Streets COVID-19 response.‌• Secured over $3.4 M in competitive grant funding for two high profile projects.‌• Managed SDOT’s Bike Parking Program, including purchasing, installing, and maintaining sidewalk bike racks and on-street bike corrals across the city.‌• Responded to requests from members of the public, represented SDOT at events and meetings, and evaluated community proposed projects.

‌• Evaluated streets and intersections to identify collision patterns, designed improvements to address them, and wrote work orders to implement them.‌• Collected and analyzed speed data along multi-use trails to evaluate the effects of a new speed limit and the introduction of e-bikes and micromobility devices on Seattle’s trails.‌• Developed a method to link three different agencies’ databases in order to identify collision trends related to Uber and Lyft drivers, and recommended actions to help reduce them. ‌• Automated the production of several hundred project information sheets using InDesign data merge, ArcMap data driven pages, and Python.

‌• Wrote the chapters on transit and technological change for Beyond Traffic, the US Department of Transportation’s 30-year framework for the future.‌• Wrote a trails plan for the Mississippi National River and Recreation area that integrates land and water trails with transit and bike share. The plan also helped to start the nation’s first canoe share system.‌• Collected and analyzed traffic, parking, bicycling, and transit ridership data to help agencies like the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the US Forest Service make better transportation and resource decisions.‌• Developed long range transportation plans that helped introduce a total cost of ownership framework for the National Park Service as a whole; the Southeast, Midwest, and Capital regions; and for Denali National Park and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.‌• Updated national trail planning and design guidelines for paths adjacent to active rail lines on behalf of three federal agencies and the nation’s railroads.
