From November to January, I served as a field organizer in the successful coordinated effort to flip Georgia’s two senate seats in 2021. As a part of this work, I led a phonebanking program in Georgia’s 7th Congressional District that made over 60,000 dial attempts in 5 different languages and engaged over 100 volunteers across the country. This included liaising with donors and organizations nationwide to support voter mobilization efforts, including Swing Left of Greater Boston, Eliza Orlins for New York, and others. In addition, I personally recruited, trained, and coordinated 63 canvassing volunteers in Gwinnett County and assisted with event planning and logistics for high profile speakers including Vice President Elect Kamala Harris.

After working with Carolyn for Congress for several months with the field and communications teams, I was offered a full time position working alongside our Communications Director to elect Carolyn Bourdeaux on November 3rd. Besides media monitoring, drafting social media for the Friends of Carolyn accounts, updating reporter lists, and rapid response, my duties also include drafting brief questionnaire/press responses for the principle, drafting for the primary campaign social media accounts, and drafting press releases.

My primary role was to be the front line of customer service, fielding phone calls and handling sales. Beyond the customer service elements, my main responsibility was to assist in the curation of our inventory of children's, young adult, and adult literature. I also supported management from a programmatic and logistical standpoint by planning summer camps, coordinating special events, and doing weekly read-aloud story times for families and children.

My primary responsibility as a Hall Counselor was the oversight of a hall of 28, mixed gender incoming first years, responding to their complex social and personal needs in a tough period of transition with a focus on conflict management. This necessitated that I worked closely with peers and professional staff to build a healthy community and to respond to emergent situations. Beyond these two directives, I was further responsible for planning and coordinating different educational outreach events on campus across various organizations.

While I was personally responsible for more day to day tasks like voter outreach and registration, I was also responsible for setting weekly goals for our team and ensuring these goals were met in a time sensitive manner.
