I’m an editor of our award-winning Class Guides, and I cowrite and edit a handful of MasterClass newsletters.

Ever-shifting responsibilities included running Playboy.com, top edit on all magazine copy, writing features and front-of-book pieces, spearheading a special tribute edition following the death of Hugh Hefner and frequent curveballs such as a cohosting gig on a Playboy video series. Along the way our small team oversaw the return of nudity to our pages, crowned our first trans Playmate and ran Playboy Interviews with everyone from Scarlett Johansson to Christiane Amanpour—while navigating a top-down rethink of the brand's business model.

Joining the team as it put together Playboy's first non-nude issue, I took on the Playboy Interview and 20Q as well as the entertainment vertical on .com and all entertainment coverage in-book.

I oversaw systemic changes in both the edit team and the magazine as a whole, beginning with its Break the Internet issue—the biggest in PAPER's 30-year history, and a mega-viral moment that became a cultural touchstone. I had a hand in all non-fashion print stories, from pitching to budgeting to top edit, and I authored several features (favorites include an oral history of the legendary Lower East Side bar Max Fish and a moderated conversation between Andrew W.K. and Deepak Chopra).

Print pieces from this time include profiles on Carson Daly, Gigi Hadid, Jessica Williams, Abigail Breslin and Evan Spiegel. (Most of these were for the magazine's annual "Beautiful People" series; reporting required on-set interviews with up to a dozen wildly diverse subjects in a single day.) Interviews include Al Gore, Pharrell Williams, John Waters, Danny Masterson and many more.

As a core member of bands signed to prominent indie labels based in the US and abroad, I have contributed words and/or music to roughly 10 albums. Extensive tours of N. America, Europe and Japan, plus coverage in Spin, the New York Times, Pitchfork, Time Out New York, NPR and countless regional outlets.

As the manager of a small team of lit writers, I edited and published 1–3 posts a day. I also wrote weekly posts focusing on literature and music, including a tribute to Boyz II Men and a measured rant on the word "literally."

Edited or created content for over 4,000 event previews; managed a team of roughly 15 writers plus assistant editor and editorial intern.

Co-developed web and print copy for Merck, Clarins Cosmetics, No Nonsense, Ogilvy Healthcare, Munich Business School, ATLAS.ti, and many more. Other responsibilities: research, in-house website relaunch (consulting on concept, design, copy, etc.) and office management.

Wrote and co-edited editorial reports; corresponded with authors, agents, and publishers; prepared proposals and query letters; screened submissions. I was also in charge of invoicing, staffing and office management.

Oversaw the physical and digital archiving of reviews for all Warner titles; developed press releases for select titles.
