About James Hubbard

I am a compassionate higher education professional working with the Career Center team at Suffolk University (Boston, MA). In my role as an Assistant Director for Career Communities, I support Suffolk students and alumni as they explore career paths in public administration, government, and law. I am honored and privileged to partner with Suffolk faculty and instructors who are leaders in those disciplines and who educate the leaders of tomorrow. My mission is to uplift students and empower them to achieve their goals through experiential learning, professional development opportunities, and industry-specific career advising. I am a lifelong learner with a longstanding passion for community service, public administration, and political science. Prior to joining Suffolk, I served as an upper elementary classroom teacher for 10+ years. I utilized my interpersonal skills and growth mindset towards building successful and collaborative classroom communities. I am grateful for the opportunity to leverage those skills while building strategic relationships with industry partners and planning events to help Suffolk students access internship and early career roles.
