About Ji Chen

I'm a second-year graduate student pursuing an MA degree in International Higher Education at Boston College Lynch School of Education and Human Development. As part of my graduate study’s field placement, I also work part-time as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Graduate Student Services at the Lynch School. I received my Bachelor of Arts Magna Cum Laude in Anthropology and Linguistics from Brandeis University. During my Brandeis journey, I also fulfilled a minor in International and Global Studies, and had some training in Theater Arts. I possess strong communication and storytelling skills, and through my undergraduate training I have acquired experience in classroom teaching and student mentoring with a focus on working with people from different cultural backgrounds. I also have work experience in university admissions and international students office. I enjoy working with people and dedicating my creativity, curiosity and care in the service of others. I'm passionate about internationally focused and student-oriented work in higher education, like student support & formation, internationalization, language justice, theater/arts education, global diversity, and cross-cultural communication. I hope to support students from all kinds of backgrounds as they embark on a rewarding higher education journey.I approach my work with empathy, humility, and honesty.(I am looking for opportunities that sponsor an H1-B work visa as I currently hold an F1 student visa.)
