About Jia Xuan

I'm currently a student in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry in NTU, with a passion for molecular biology.From 2021 to 2023, I was a research assistant working with the Strain Engineering (SE) team of Singapore Institute of Food and Biotechnology Innovation (SIFBI), A*STAR, working on genetically engineering cells as hosts to produce chemicals sustainably. In 2021, I joined the SE team on an internship with Singapore Polytechnic as part of the requirements of the Diploma in Biotechnology, and later on, as a research assistant to build up my experience before I continue on with my education.
