SmartZip provides predictive marketing solutions to real estate brokers and agents. By applying predictive modeling to massive data about homes and homeowners, SmartZip helps real estate agents identify top prospects who are more likely to sell so that they can target more specifically instead of mass marketing.I was heavily involved in the design and development of SmartZip’s predictive analytics using logistic regression, hierarchical linear model, fuzzy clustering and machine learning. I also helped develop benchmarking and back testing methodologies to measure accuracy of prediction and visualize the distribution geographically. Meanwhile I contributed to patent-pending real estate analytics including Neighborhood Home Price Index (NHPI) to track the movement of housing prices, and Automated Valuation Model (AVM) to measure the value of homes which is used by a few leading real estate websites in the U.S.In addition, I implemented a series of SaaS metrics to track monthly client retention and evaluate business performance and scalability. Weekly jobs were scheduled for computation, visualization and executive reporting.While I was working as a Data Scientist, I had opportunity to interface with Product, Engineering, Client Operations and Sales to discuss product initiatives, oversee large scale software modeling implementation and ensure client satisfaction.
