Malaysia

Leading the Global Procurement team in managing and procuring key raw materials used in our manufacturing plants, which also includes Budget Forecasting and Cost Saving projects. I manage, develop, and equip the team with the appropriate skill base for tracking raw materials trend, managing vendor development and a pool of suppliers for raw materials, packing materials, outsource suppliers. I collaborate with the cross functional team for launches of Global Innovation projects and provide support in supplier identification, product costing and identifying new opportunities of cost savings.

Malaysia

Led the Global Procurement team which managed key raw materials and implemented strategies that ensured the company’s continuous supply and competitive pricing throughout COVD-19 pandemic period where supplies were short, and prices were out of the norm. I also managed the relationship with Contract Manufacturers to coordinate all aspects of the product launch until first sale.

Malaysia

Part of the Global Innovation Team that curated and managed the company’s Global Innovation projects and product pipeline. I was the main Person-In-Charge (PIC) between our Global Outsource team, Manufacturer and Local Markets to ensure timely delivery of projects in the different phases of Stage Gate phases and across key markets such as North America, Australia, Europe, and China. One of the main responsibilities included raising Business Case and coordinating the Financial Dimension of New Product Development and presenting to key Stakeholders.

Thailand

Double-hat the roles of a New Product Development Project Manager and Lubricant Product Development. For the role of Project Manager, I worked with assigned Project Leaders to ensure that all aspects of technology based projects (scope, quality, time and cost) are delivered to specified requirements and meeting agreed customer needs. Projects will typically be global in nature and associated with New Product Development (NPD), technology transfer across manufacturing sites, outsource products, manufacturing process improvement, cost saving initiatives and key material sourcing initiatives. For product development role, I took the steering role in the development of new products for lubricants according to agreed schedules, cost, company and QMS procedures and quality objectives . Last but not least, I am involved in the budget forecasting and budget management for the whole R&D department.

Thailand

Relocation to Thailand office and led the personal lubricant team and curated the product pipeline for the category. I was also responsible for budget forecasting and management of the R&D group. During this period, I collaborated effectively with cross-functional teams within and outside of Ansell organisation to develop new products and identify new to the world technologies. Successfully filed patents related to condom and lubricants innovations.

Malaysia

Acting technical leader for the personal lubricant group during the position vacancy for 6 months. During this period, I worked closely with the team and head of the department to deliver new product and support launches to global regions. At the same time, I liaised closely with our outsource manufacturers from various countries (i.e Malaysia, Thailand, US and China) to provide technical expertise and troubleshooting of our products.

Malaysia

Mainly responsible for research and product development activities for Personal Lubricants and Lubricant on Condoms. One major accomplishment was the launch of Dual Protect™ condom - world first condom, with a proprietary antiviral compound in the condom lubricant. On top of that, I successfully developed test methods such as Bioburden, Challenge Test and Viral Penetration.I was also involved with US FDA 510(k ) submissions and familiarized myself with Quality Systems, such as ISO 4074, ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and Design and Development Control (DDC) procedures.

United States

Part of the research team on finding the correct mutation on organisms that produce dextran debranching enzymes. Successfully validated various qualitative and quantitative methods on measuring carbohydrates such as micro phenol sulphuric method, micro copper-bicinchoninate and thin layer chromatography (TLC). The validated method will be useful in selection of the bacteria for enhanced enzyme production.
