• Initiate and conduct RNAi genetic screens in duplicates of three major anastatic regulators for the effects on eye development in D. melanogaster• Identify neuronal apoptosis in ten fly eye discs using immunostaining, fluorescent microscopy and Western Blot techniques• Analyze HeLa cell mitochondria after recovery from apoptosis with ImageJ and categorize the phenotypes into three subtypes based on severity of mitochondrial fragmentation

• Reviewed 10+ current literatures on PubMed on lysosomal storage diseases (LSD) and proposed theories of cathepsin cleavage pattern on prosaposin based on previously published data• Designed silver stain experimental setup to examine the cleavage pattern of cathepsin on prosaposin in vitro in a time and concentration dependent manner• Proposed two future experiments such as Western Blot and mass spectroscopy to refine the cleavage pathways to single amino acid level

• Deployed Gal 4-UAS system as a tool to examine the roles of descending neurons in Drosophila Melanogaster by manipulating the neurons optogenetically• Created and studied Ethograms for Drosophila grooming movements from the behavioral recording
