I joined IJ Group when it was a startup and saw its astonishing growth in terms of funding volume and investment scope over the past several years.My main duties includes:• Formulating and optimizing payment and accounting policies for IJ Group• Undertaking reconciliations and maintenance of the general ledgers and trial balances of the 20 funds under the management of IJ Funds Management Pty Ltd and JSY Funds Management Pty Ltd• Oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable and debtor management• Preparation of management reports for presentation to boards of directors, shareholders, investors and for marketing purposes• Preparation of BAS figures, assisting the Tax Accountant and Auditor in preparation of financial statements• Assisting the CFO with evaluation of projects, helping with investor requirements and handling complaints• Training accounting interns and assistant accountants in the finance team• Liaising with the risk assessment team, compliance team and marketing team as well as external specialists such as solicitors, brokers and valuers to improve the funds’ value while meeting compliance requirements• Assisting with the developing of IJ Group’s ERP system and ad-hoc tasks as requested by the director
