Hi! My name is Jiear J. Cabrera Leon, I am currently in my first year at the University of Texas at Dallas, pursuing a degree in accounting. I see the significance of education and how it leads to professional growth, thus I am dedicated to taking any steps to achieve what I desire. Having an impact in the business world, I look to create great connections and enhance my communication skills even more.With my current job at Eatzi's Market and Bakery, I have been able to gain many skills that seemed unrealistic to me. One of the most important skills that I have gained is organization. Since I am a retail specialist, I have to make sure that all food, condiments, and drinks are restored. Restoring the supplies has also made me more aware of the presentation of food and its effect on people. People tend to grab an item that looks neat and appetizing. With the ability to locate all the food and drinks around the store, it has become quite easy to point customers towards the items they are interested in. I also tend to help elderly customers carry their baskets and provide any aid to them. With this new job experience, I have generated some communication skills, which need a lot of development. I have been able to grow individually as I manage a major part of the store's flow and try to help my co-workers create a sense of teamwork. I plan to learn more about accounting and creating a great network with multiple connections.
