About Jie Liu

I am currently looking for partners to make state-of-the-art technologies exploitable for high-tech start-ups in the area of robotics.I was trained in robotics in college and developed my career in rehabilitation engineering. I am aware of an effective interaction of the two fields in improving hand function for individuals who have limited capabilities due to disabilities. My objective is to advance the research on neural human-machine interfaces to develop powerful methods for the non-invasive real-time prediction of muscle activation and contraction dynamics in disabled individuals. My research was oriented towards applying neuromusculoskeletal modeling techniques to establish more intuitive control interfaces for the active control of wearable assistive devices. My aim is to develop novel robot-based methodologies to improve the mobility in individuals with neurological injury. I hope to apply findings from this research to address the challenge of robotic rehabilitation for hand function restoration.Specialties: Robotics,Rehabilitation, Robot hand control
