I’m a visionary artist and storyteller with a brave heart and a seeker’s mind. I’m on a mission to deeply reconnect to my roots in nature and through my films, help others do the same. Over the last 7 years of my career as a Director and D.O.P, I have created evocative short documentaries in collaboration with Indigenous communities around the world, celebrating and preserving their unique worldview. My work has made me learn 6 languages and taken me to some of the ecologically rich areas in the world including the teeming East African Savannah, the enchanting Amazon Rainforest, and the majestic peaks of the Himalayas. Now I’m based in my home-country Tanzania working closely with the Hadzabe tribe on my debut feature documentary. As the chairman and founder of the African School of Storytelling (AFRISOS), I’m dedicated to empower the next generation of authentic grassroots storytellers to create impactful media that preserve Africa’s rich natural and cultural heritage.
