About Ji Im, P.E.

Drinking water quality and treatment are my passions. I love collaborating with water systems on solutions that improve their water quality and infrastructure through study, design, and construction. The “people” part of the engineering is important to me - teamwork with my colleagues, partnership with my clients, and the real impact our work has on the public health of the communities we serve. I’m driven by both conventional and emerging water quality challenges, such as PFAS, DBPs, iron/manganese, lead/copper, and more. I am committed to community building. I grow from serving the YPs and students of the water industry (as YP Advisor on AWWA Executive Committee on the Board, Past Chair of AWWA YP Committee & Founder of the NEWWA University Outreach Committee) and actively facilitating and participating in sharing best practices (as Vice Chair of NEWWA Program Committee & Member-at-Large on AWWA Technical & Education Council).When I’m not working, you will find me enjoying quality time with family & friends, laughing, eating, cooking, reading or exploring.
