Jill is a budding Geoscientist, she is well versed in field site visits, exploration geology, and core logging. She is now developing her career in a hybrid role at Okane Consultants which specializes in Conceptual and Detailed Mine Closure Planning. She has exposure to GeoStudio, and GoldSim modelling, writing management plans, closure plans, technical reports and memos relating to mine closure. She also is well versed in Campbell Scientific Logger installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, data collection and reduction. Jill interacts with Datasight to QAQC, analyze and interpret meteorological and soil monitoring datasets. Jill is interested in progressing her Project Management skills and deepening her technical knowledge in contaminated sites, building better Mine Rock Stockpiles and revegetation on disturbed sites.Jill's career aspirations include achieving her P.Geo designation. She is currently a Geoscientist in Training (GIT) and a registered member of APEGA. 4 years of Earth and Environmental Science education including: Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Assessment, Food Systems, Geomorphology, Isotopic tracers, Soil science, field techniques, Biogeochemistry.1 year environmental/geological work including , basic mapping, GPS use, field mapping, outcrop mapping, remote work, ATVing, Snowmobiling, UTM navigating in remote areas, precise GPS locating, core logging, channel sampling. ARGO certified. 2 years analyzing environmental monitoring data, collection and QC, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation. Assisting in the development of mine closure plans, soil management plans, BC mine reclamation, annual reclamation reporting and permitting. Project Management and client facing roles. Basic modelling skillset in Geostudio, and goldsim.
