After working as a long-term locum, I took on a permanent part-time role, until June 2015. I now work as an occasional locum for the practice, and it's lovely to be part of the team when I'm back.

This involved large group teaching, using the 'flipped classroom' technique; and small group teaching of communication skills, using scenarios, simulated clients and in-depth discussion.I was also involved with clinical skills teaching and physical examination lab work. I also ran a lvel 7 (masters level) module for VNs, which broke new ground in VN CPD.I was also involved with the development and teaching of the 'Professional and Communication Skills' aspects of the Veterinary undergraduate curriculum, including the Communication Skills elective, and also helped to setup and run a 'neutering clinic' that assisted undergraduates with 'day one' cat neutering skills.I presented at several conferences, including the University of Liverpool's Learning and Teaching conference, the ICCVM (International Conference on Communications in Veterinary Medicine) in California, and the Veteriary Education Symposium at Nottingham Vet School.
