Assisted the Parks & Rec Director in planning and executing major community events such as Kidz n Biz, Snow Jam, and the inaugural Tour de Hugo bike race, as well as the expansion of services at Hanifl Fields soccer complex. Investigated and assisted the Community Development Director and the Watershed district in remediating a water issue affecting 20+ residences. Worked with the Hugo Fire Department on human resources and NIMS emergency management, and with Hugo Public Works for citizen outreach. Assisted the City Administrator with special projects, including working with state bodies on behalf of citizens and community groups. Assisted the City Clerk in preparing for the 2010 election, when our jurisdiction of 36 square miles for some 14,000 residents included four school districts and two State Senate districts, for a total of eight ballots in two voter locations.
