Devised and implemented key communication strategies targeting employees, shareholders and other important audiences: * Established an infrastructure for internal and shareholder communications.* Managed elements of the communication plan for the 2007 separation and 2008 acquisition. Our change communications bolstered employee morale by providing a clear, concise and credible stream of timely information. * Directed strategy and content for the company's intranet portal. Built and launched the portal in partnership with IT. By 2008, 86 percent of employees with access used it for job-critical news, HR tools and team collaboration (unique users) each month. * Created end-user messaging to support IT initiatives. * Drove the vision and strategy for the corporate Web site, making it into a tool for sharing the company's successes with shareholders and analysts. This contributed to the near-tripling of the company's share price.* Led two successful “ambassador” employee engagement programs. Utilized multichannel communications, including online content and on-site events, to reach salaried and hourly workers. Recruited 3,600 ambassadors for the Champion toilet (2003) and more than 6,400 for the CleanEffects home air cleaning system – nearly one-third of U.S. workforce (2006). A year after the Champion program, 90 percent of employees could still identify the product’s key competitive advantages. Show less
