Having worked for more than 20 years in both Glasgow and London providing secretarial services I decided that I wanted a change in career, what could someone who had such experience and loved organising people do!?Upon researching various ideas I came across the VA Industry. A Virtual Assistant is someone who provides administrative services to SME’s who whilst running their businesses need to focus on developing and managing their clients rather than worrying if there diary is up-to-date or if their latest proposal has been formatted correctly!I created in JMVA in August 2008 and took on running my business full-time in January 2009. Since that time I have helped various clients with their administrative tasks. The way I like to describe it is that my clients are juggling all their tasks and I, as a master juggler, can take the various tasks away from them, manage them and pass them back to them when they require them.As mentioned I have more than 20 years of working in offices, having started as an Office Junior in a large law firm in Glasgow before progressing my career in the legal industry, the construction industry and my particular favourite – the leather industry! In 2000 I moved to London and worked in the Corporate Relocation Industry before embarking on my new adventure.The great thing about being a VA is that I always have this variety now, my Clients come from diverse industries and therefore no two days are ever the same – I am in a very privileged position whereby I love my job.Specialties: Virtual Admin Services including email, travel and diary management, minute taking, book-keeping services, event organisation, presentation preparation, client and prospect database management, organising tasks and in general making my clients’ days a lot more effective.
