I started working with fused glass in 2002. I am a past resident artist at the Art Glass Center (AGC) at Glen Echo. In 2011, I built a fused glass studio in my home where I teach classes, design and produce my glasswork, and have a home gallery. I am a past member of the The Waverly Street Gallery, a co-op gallery located in Bethesda, Md. The gallery features local contemporary artists working in a wide range of media. I also sell my work at the Brentwood Arts Exchange in Brentwood, Md., and The Opal Fine Art Gallery in Leonardstown, Southern Maryland. I am a member of the NCAGG, the JRA (James Renwick Alliance), the Montgomery County Art Association, the MFA (Maryland Federation of Art), and the Women’s Art Caucus (WCA).Two of my pieces are included in the permanent collection of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. I won a juror’s award for a glass piece from the Maryland Federation of Art’s Circle Gallery in 2017 and first place for a sculpture in 2018.

Jill helped run the gallery, developed and taught fused glass classes, and designed and sold her work. In addition, Jill Tanenbaum Graphic Design & Advertising designed the AGC logo, website and brochure. Jill developed an email database of over 1400 people and wrote, photographed and produced a monthly enewsletter that was sent to the database to promote the AGC and its classes.
