I managed the McLean Indian Day School Community Support Program; aimed to provide culturally safe, trauma-informed support to day school claimants as they move through the claim process. Our team served claimants from across Canada one-on-one, and provides claim form support including the written narrative, wellness support, cultural support and access to class counsel and the claims administrator. Accountable for the success of the project in all areas, and directly managed the national team who implemented our program with Indigenous communities across Canada.I also co-lead the Social Change practice group focusing on strategy, business development and evaluation.
Part of leadership team for the national Public Health practice group, I have progressively increased responsibility from research and evaluation of behaviour change for social good, to build strategy and business streams in three areas; community mobilization in Northern Canada, design thinking strategic planning and online learning and curriculum development. I managed projects focused on community mobilization in Canada's north including Tuberculosis testing and treatment, harm reduction, oral health and sexually transmitted and blood borne infections. The projects aimed to provide the opportunities, materials and resources the community needs to address the social issue.
During this time I started doing one of things that excites me most: developing community capacity to design thinking facilitation. Communities are then able to use this process to mobilize to address their social challenges.

During this time I developed the firm's online course business stream, helped write an IABC award winning social marketing curriculum with the Ontario Tech University (formerly University of Ontario Institute of Technology) and co-authored a paper on that public-private partnership.

At United Way I managed community research and engagement to feed into resource development pipeline. My first project was Urban Exchange - panel comprised of more than 2000 Winnipeggers who shared their opinion about social issues and solutions. As manager of this community engagement initiative, I was responsible for ensuring equitable access and representation. I also took a lead role in developing and launching Peg, Winnipeg's community indicators system. Furthering my experience in knowledge translation, the objective for Peg is to provide a dashboard of statistics to report on Winnipeg's social, environmental and physical well-being.Additional responsibilities included performing program evaluation and building measures for United Way's community involvement programs, and helping with internal research and evaluation duties.
