Advocate for biodiversity collections, in particular for supporting their engagement in research data processing and communications to leverage their monumental investment in archives documenting the diversity and distribution of life on Earth. Skilled in biological museum collections data processing, grant writing, annual reports, and non-profit organizational development and governance. Proud to have been a part of the formation of the Specify Collections Consortium and JRS Biodiversity Foundation. Grateful for the generosity of my academic mentors, and for the professionalism and intellectual insight of colleagues at the U.S. NSF, USGS, and at the universities where I have had the pleasure to serve.

Participated in various other experimental and observational methods to ascertain the foraging behavior and food resource distribution (community ecology) for populations of resident and migratory Trochilidae. Nominally oversaw a dedicated, spirited, and subsequently successful group of University of Florida and University of Colorado graduate students and technicians.
