Jim is a native of Sacramento. He attended elementary school through college locally. He served 3 years in the military (Thailand, Dominican Republic and Fort Rucker Alabama). His passion for the Real Estate and Construction Industry began with a Woodland Development firm where he performed as a Sales and Operations Manager and was involved in land acquisitions, project designs, construction and marketing. He later ventured out on his own as J.Bender Company - a builder and Real Estate Broker specializing in small commercial, medium density residential projects and custom homes. After a total of 16 years being immersed in the building/Real Estate industries, he joined the Warren G. Bender Co. and used his construction knowledge to specialize in insuring construction risks. After 29 years with the Warren G. Bender Co., and reaching the level of Executive Vice President he retired. With his passion for construction still alive, Jim formed J. Bender Company - a general contracting firm with B and A classifications. The company specializes in maintaining auto dismantling sites. Operations include ground-up construction, demo and rebuild, upgrade structures (electric, plumbing, HVAC etc.), and concrete construction and total remodeling of admin and employee areas (breakroom, showers, restrooms, crusher pads etc.).
