I worked in all positions of my family owned business that was founded in 1904. Primarily, I worked with our manufacturer representatives who sold nationwide. This involved training them on product knowledge from raw material to finished products. I also sold our products in the field by giving product seminars at our customer’s distribution facilities. This allowed them to have end-users come and see new and current products and have their questions answered by the manufacturer representative first hand. I was also responsible for setting-up our National and International Trade Show Booth and scheduling our manufacturer representatives to work these multiple annual shows. Our sales representatives reported their sales efforts and actual sales directly to me. I would provide quarterly feedback for areas of improvement and was always accessible to them.
