Implemented mobilization of personnel and assets to service significant new customers in the Northeastern region of the US for an annual projected revenue increase of over $2 million. Grew revenues from AUS$60 million to nearly $100 million in three years while improving margins. Bolstered the organization internally and externally. Departed Australia at my request to return to the US for family reasons. Penetrated the lucrative mining segment previously ignored by Maxam Australia, increasing mining’s share of Maxam Australia revenues from 20% to 60%. Won new business with prestigious Australian mining customers and at least one major international mining concern, BHP. Restored long-term, National quarry accounts to good standing, after significant issues with the prior CEO, via personal contact, along with fair and firm resolution of long-outstanding financial, service and safety issues. Led the transition from a hierarchical to a matrix organization, the most successful implementation at any subsidiary world-wide for Maxam. Transformed the dissatisfied and dysfunctional management team to full alignment with, and engagement on, company objectives. Improved company culture at all levels, including safety culture, evidenced by a reduction in the Total Recordable Case Rate key performance indicator from over 5.0 to 0.4. Reduced total costs by over 10% based on close coordination with global supply chain and local cost accountability.
