After six years at university and 37 years working in the oil patch for Chevron you would have thought that I would have had enough. But no, I still have an appetite to continue working on interesting projects with interesting people. But now I work for myself under the name of Reflections Data Consulting. My latest adventure involves advising new start up companies interested in the energy business. I am an Energy Advisor for the Rocky Mountain Innosphere in Denver and Fort Collins. So far I have met with several very innovative companies.To give back to the industry, I am working with Dr. Iraj Ershaghi at the University of Southern California, with the SPE Digital Energy Section and have been asked to join the Standards Leadership Council as an advisor and moderator of their Operator Advisory Panel.I hope to stay in touch through articles, blogs, talks, white papers, and workshops.

I participate in a number of strategic IT initiatives including the Future of IT, the Future of Integration Operations (IT enabled Digital Oil Field initiatives) and the changing organizational capabilities required in the emerging era of the Digital Engineer. I developed a concept of the Digital Oil Field IT Stack for the required enabling technology and capabilities needed to build the foundation for integrated workflow solutions.
