Jim is an Assistant Vice President and Operations Manager in Corporate Data Services at Barclays Corporate Banking. He provides the Corporate Data Services team with communications and organisational support.He is an Honorary Research Fellow in the School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow, where he currently manages the relationship between Barclays and the University, for the Barclays-Glasgow University PhD Initiative. Jim worked previously in the University of Glasgow where he combined interests in cultural heritage, with the potential of technology to present interactive e-learning opportunities. He initiated a program between the Hunterian Museum and Computing Science at Glasgow, leading to a wide variety of innovative multimedia projects.(1) Jim collaborated with colleagues worldwide, including the Office of IT and Media Services at Harvard University, where he was a Thesis Director for Masters candidates. He served two elected terms on the Board of Directors of the US based Museum Computer Network.He developed and taught a course in practical multimedia for students in the University of Glasgow and has led field expeditions to Knossos in Crete, creating interactive tours of the Minoan palace. He has managed a major Scottish Government funded research project (What clicks?) (2) reviewing existing and potential ICT capability for e-learning in the museum sector in Scotland.He is former Director of Interpretive Media Limited. 1.
