Retired from US Postal Service after 33 year career. 13 years as an analyst, 3 as a postmaster, 1 year as a supervisor, 5 as a business mail entry technician with the previous 11 years performing various tasks as a clerk.My post retirement position was challenging in that it was both physically and mentally challenging by the myriad tasks included in the various positions I worked.As a ramp agent, I guided aircraft into their assigned gates for off boarding and boarding of passengers, unload and load luggage, conducted visual observations of the aircraft for any sign of physical damage that may have occurred post arrival, or during flight, and guide aircraft back onto the tarmac for departure. During performance of said tasks, I was on my feet for periods extending to 7 hours with maybe 5 minutes down time for a break. That was the physical challenge. I also worked as a ticket agent and trained as a gate agent. Both of these positions required vast knowledge of the programs used to create reservations, book reservations, make changes to them and sell them to customers. In addition, I was asked to add passengers, luggage, seats or complete itineraries for passengers. The biggest challenge of both ticket and gate agent positions occurred when a flight was cancelled or delayed causing passengers to risk missing connecting flights. This task required rebooking entire flights and had to be completed quickly due to a justifiably upset passenger waiting impatiently to begin their trip.Those were, and my "jobs".My passion is music and I am an accomplished musician, having studied and played the drums for over 50 years. I can play virtually any genre of music, but will not play for or with musicians/bands who perform or compose material that is offensive to me.I have experience in the recording studio and have composed a handful of short, very short pieces of songs.
