Mr. Gosnell's consulting assignments include the following:2023: Presentation to client on differences between fossil fuel & renewable energy based fertilizer plants.2023: Advised client on licensing models used in the fertilizer/chemicals business. Reviewed license agreement and engineering deliverables. Suggested organizational changes and advised on work flow issues.2023: Advised client on technical & commercial issues for a proposed ammonia plant based on hydrogen from electrolysis of water.2022: Provided advice on risks of scale-up of ammonia converter to 6000 mt/d.2020-2021: Advised client on technical & commercial issues for selection of ammonia technology from among several licensors. Continued advising client during the basic engineering design for the selected technology.2018: Advised client on technical & commercial risks of ammonia plant performance guarantees as part of an EPC bid. Reviewed CAPEX estimates.2017: Advised client on evaluation of methanol technology.2016: Advised client on strengths & weaknesses of licensors & EPC bidders in fertilizer market, contracting models used, and risks involved. Also supported EPC bid.2016: Advised client on technical & commercial issues for proposed large scale ammonia project.

Broad experience in engineering, design, and management with Kellogg Brown & Root and its predecessor companies. Engineering and design experience includes process & equipment design and startups for various chemical processes. Management experience includes seven years as a Group Leader, five years as Department Manager, and three years as Director of Engineering and Design. From 1996 until 2015 he served as Director/Vice President of Technology. In this role Mr. Gosnell was responsible for the technical and commercial aspects of KBR’s fertilizer and synthesis gas business. He helped lead the effort which grew this business from about $10 million/year in revenue to about $300 million/year until his retirement in 2015.
