Among our programs are, "This Man's A Spy!", a musical re-telling of the story of Benedict Arnold's plot to sell the plans for West Point to the British, "Ona's Interview", the true story of Ona Judge, George Washington's runaway slave, "An Afternoon With Madam CJ Walker", and others. We also compose and perform original music, as well as a variety of covers.

Teaching ArtistJim Keyes 1994 - PresentFor nearly twenty years I have worked in schools and museums as a teaching artist. Most of my artist-in-residence work has centered around curriculum-based songwriting as well as Colonial music workshops. I have been a "roster artist" for the Westchester Arts Council (now known as "ArtsWestchester) and Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES. I have annually been a teaching artist at the Hudson River Museum. I've also been a guest artist at Wave Hill and the Central Park Conservancy.

My specialties include Colonial and pre-Civil War music. I have performed for years at Van Cortlandt Manor, Philipsburg Manor, Sunnyside, St. Paul's Church National Historic Site, John Jay Homestead and Hamilton Grange. This aspect of my work is also very popular as a school workshop.

For this event, I created a 15 minute show of pirate jokes and songs."The Lord of Misrule" was developed for Van Cortlandt Manor's Candlelight Tours, held during the month of December. The Lord of Misrule was an important part of any Twelfthnight celebration, which was the primary Winter holiday in early America. Besides being an outlandish interactive performance, it contained a lot of information about the holiday.
