Self-motivated mining professional with 43-years of evolution changes in the mining industry.Gained a wealth of experience in mining operations including safety, training and operations management. This experience has contributed to the development of key skills in underground mine ventilation, longwall mining, continuous haulage, conveyance systems, dewatering, roof control, room and pillar mining methods, drill and blasting to include slope and shaft development. Surface mine experience includes contour mining, auger mining, mountain top removal, construction and road building.A third generation coal miner with tenure from general labor to equipment operator, section supervisor, to assistant shift foreman, safety engineer to Corporate Manager of Safety/Training to Vice President of Safety/Training. Have been responsible for developing all phases of mining plans, operating standards, and delivering useful and meaningful training on the same. Instituted practical and meaningful up skill supervisors and upper level management development training to include values in safety, production and cost. My positive influence and leadership skills in the business of mining has shown many achievements in improved safety levels; increased production output and efficiency levels; reduced production costs; and overseeing change management initiatives all of which have made positive impacts on the bottom line.
